  • Make any placement for commercial purposes (including without limitation pointing to specific URLs for commercial purposes), except where such postings are expressly permitted under the grant and/or Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) applicable to a specific Newsgroup. Generally, filtered messages are considered normal Usenet traffic and should be treated as such by your Provider. Complaints regarding the use or abuse of filters should be directed either to the source that is generating them or to the site that is using them.
  • Perform unauthorized creation of Newsgroups.

2) Security

Internet network users are responsible for educating themselves and configuring their systems with basic security procedures. If a site's system is breached, the site is responsible for reporting the breach. Users are prohibited from interfering or attempting to interfere with the services of any other user, host or network within the Internet ("Denial of Service Attacks"). Examples of these prohibited activities include without limitation:

  • (a) sending excessive amounts of data (such as flooding any type of traffic that exceeds acceptable standards for size and/or frequency) with the intent to overload systems, fill circuits, and/or crash hosts;
  • (b) attempt to attack or disable a user, host or site;
  • (c) use, distribution or propagation of any program, script or command designed to interfere with the use, functionality or connectivity of any user, host, system or site within the Internet (such as the propagation, via email or Usenet, messages containing viruses, control characters, etc.)

3) Violation of this policy

The performance of any activity or action set forth in this Policy is strictly prohibited. In the event of any violation thereof, the service provider reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate the Internet service either temporarily or permanently, block any prohibited activity or take any other appropriate action, at its discretion.
